Peninsula Hotels, whose hotels around the world have epitomized luxurious elegance for nearly a century, will unveil an extensive collection of new wellness resources for guests in early 2022, inviting them to experience Life Lived Best.
The brand-wide initiative will offer guests at all Peninsula hotels unprecedented opportunities to track their fitness, mindfulness and nutritional goals – and access those opportunities at any time through a dedicated wellness portal and 24-hour wellness concierge service.

The Elements of Life Best Lived: Physical, Mental, and Nutritional Health
The new program offers guests of the Peninsula a holistic wellness experience that – if they choose – can enhance their physical, mental and nutritional well-being. While many of the offerings, including activities, classes and menu options, will be available at each hotel in the Peninsula portfolio, others reflect the distinctive traditions of their destination cities and are created in collaboration with local residents. This allows guests participating in peninsular wellness experiences to know that they are supporting not only their own health, but the health of local communities as well.
Physical conditioning with dynamic classes and in-room workout programs
Recognizing that physical vitality is an important part of wellbeing, The Peninsula Hotels will introduce a variety of new options to help guests move safely and comfortably. Some of these offerings invite guests to pursue their fitness goals in the hotel’s state-of-the-art fitness centers, outdoors and in group classes. Others, including guided video routines and in-room amenities, allow them to exercise at their own pace in the privacy of their guest room.
As part of the program, all hotels on the peninsula offer guests the following physical health options:
In-room fitness equipment delivery (including Life Fitness indoor cycling equipment, at some locations) upon request
Specially created video programs of exercises and stretches available on guests’ own devices or streamed to their in-room televisions
Program selection that allows guests to select goals – including increased strength, increased energy and relief from jet lag
Each and every property on the peninsula also offers guests destination-specific physical health options, such as:
Locally curated and led fitness classes (e.g. Muay Thai at The Peninsula Bangkok, Tai Chi at The Peninsula Hong Kong)
Maps of local jogging and hiking trails
Special fitness events organized together with local partners
Regularly scheduled workshops and talks with visiting local fitness experts Peace of mind with relaxing rituals and guided Breethe meditation
For guests interested in cultivating mindfulness and positive mental well-being, The Peninsula Hotels will unveil a robust suite of new offerings to support them. Many of these have been made possible through a partnership with Breethe, a groundbreaking meditation app whose guided audio programs are favored by users around the world.

As part of the program, all Peninsula hotels offer guests the following mental health services:
A selection of Breethe content – including guided meditations, relaxing bedtime stories and soothing music – available on guests’ personal devices or streamed to their in-room TVs
A special “Sleep Well, Wake Up Well” aromatherapy experience with Subtle Energies Ayurvedic essences to promote evening rest and morning energy
Relaxing or invigorating spa-style baths, created in guests’ ensuite bathrooms by Peninsula wellness experts, using mineral-rich salts and aromatic or therapeutic essential oils from Subtle Energies and/or Voya.
Each individual property on the peninsula will also provide guests with destination-specific ways to relax and balance, such as:
Locally curated meditation and mindfulness classes such as sound healing and mindful breathing
Opportunity to participate in local spiritual rites (e.g. giving alms to Buddhist monks at The Peninsula Bangkok)
Traditional local energy and healing spa treatments (e.g. Zen Balancing at The Peninsula Tokyo)
Regularly scheduled workshops and talks with visiting local mindfulness experts
Eco-friendly, individually scented toiletries created specifically for each Peninsula hotel by a local fragrance curator using locally harvested ingredients
New plant-based menus that optimize health and sustainability
For 15 years, The Peninsula Hotels has offered Naturally Peninsula, a selection of health-conscious and delicious menu options for guests dining at its hotel restaurants. However, as part of the Life Lived Best initiative, Naturally Peninsula is being relaunched with a new focus on plant-based cuisine.

The new plant-based dishes – which use seasonal, locally sourced produce, nutritious oils and unrefined sugars – reflect The Peninsula Hotels’ ongoing commitment to sustainability. By prioritizing meat-free, organic and naturally sourced ingredients from local producers, Naturally Peninsula offerings aim to simultaneously serve the hotels’ local communities and reduce their collective environmental footprint.
Guests will find Naturally Peninsula’s new plant-based offerings on breakfast and buffet menus at all Peninsula hotels beginning in early 2022. Each individual Peninsula hotel will also tailor their own Naturally Peninsula dining experiences and cooking classes that highlight the seasonal produce and culinary traditions of their respective locations.
The wellness portal and the wellness concierge: health care around the clock
The Peninsula Hotels strives to provide guests with wellness opportunities at every point of their stay – day and night. In keeping with this promise, the launch of Life Lived Best will include the launch of a new wellness portal available to guests at every Peninsula hotel.
Through the Wellness Portal, guests can access all of the wellness offerings available at their hotel – including in-room video fitness tutorials and guided audio meditations; schedules and bookings for personal training and mindfulness classes, plant-based cooking classes, spa treatments and wellness-related events; and Naturally Peninsula menu choices. The portal is always available to guests in their hotels and can either be viewed on their own personal devices or streamed to their in-room TVs.
Guests with questions about any aspect of their hotel’s wellness experiences can also receive answers 24 hours a day, seven days a week through The Peninsula Hotels’ proprietary digital concierge service, PenChat, which guests can access with their favorite messaging app access their own devices. In partnership with Life Lived Best, each Peninsula hotel offers dedicated wellness concierge assistance, enabling guests to communicate with their hotel’s chefs, spa managers and fitness center professionals.
