Saturday Night Live star Mikey Day hosts this crazy baking contest that pits contestants with very special skills against each other to see who can convince a panel of celebrity judges that their baked goods are everyday objects. “Is it cake?” is inspired by a popular meme, and the lighthearted and fun tone of the series reflects that. Each episode, a winner takes home $10,000, with the show’s top three finalists eventually competing for a $50,000 grand prize in the season finale.

This no-gimmick reality show takes its contestants round after round of grueling culinary challenges for the title of MasterChef—and a $250,000 grand prize.

Fox recently announced that the upcoming season of MasterChef will be the show’s first All-Star season. There will be former candidates and even a few MasterChef Junior alumni. Season 12 of ‘MasterChef’, starring judges Gordon Ramsay, Aaron Sanchez and Joe Bastianich, expires May 25 on Fox; new episodes will be available to stream on Hulu the day after their live TV premiere.

Rather than connecting to a TV via cable, it connects directly to an HDMI port.
