I don’t know if you know this, but I’m pretty obsessed with it cooking competition shows.
I could watch them straight for hours as they not only inspire me to keep learning how to cook incredible dishes but entertain me to death with some hilarious moments. One particular person I’ve been obsessed with is Gordon Ramsay and his Fox cooking shows– special hell kitchen
For 20 seasons, this cook-off show is heating up the kitchen with incredible moments, heated feuds and more. From the show’s inception through the final seasons, here are some of the biggest and craziest moments hell kitchen so far.
“Where’s the lamb sauce?!” (Season 2, Episode 1)
This is arguably one of the most remembered moments from the show, and with good reason. During Season 2 Episode 1 of hell kitchen, The contestants attempted to serve lamb without a specific sauce meant to go with it. After a string of mistakes, Gordon understandably explodes asking his chefs, “Where’s the lamb sauce?!” over and over again, upset by their constant mistakes.
It’s one of the show’s funniest moments, hands down, but no matter what, nothing can top the performance Gordon gave.
When Gordon almost got into a fight with a Giovanni (Season 5, Episode 10)
Giovanni in Season 5 of hell kitchen had some talent but ended up getting eliminated when he talked back to Gordon which is a big no-no. In Episode 10, Giovanni was yelled at by Gordon during dinner for poor performance, calling Giovanni “dickface” and telling him to clean up his act.
However, Giovanni fought back, and that furious Gordon, so much so that he faced the man and threatened to eliminate him immediately. This was Giovanni’s last dinner, after all hell kitchen, So it looks like there is some truth to this threat.
Kimmie and Robyn’s ongoing feud (season 10)
Season 10 is one of my favorite seasons of hell kitchen, precisely because of this feud. Robyn and Kimmie were two contestants on the season and from the start these two would constantly bump into each other, whether by trying to eliminate the other, throwing the other under the bus, or otherwise.
It’s hard to pinpoint a single moment when they lashed out at each other so many times, but they definitely were not the best friends.
When Gordon Slapped Salmon (Season 16, Episode 4)
Because sometimes you need to release your aggression in some way.
Season 16 of hell kitchen started off easy, but by episode 4 things really got hot in the kitchen. When Gordon, after several failed attempts, is brought in a less-than-adequate salmon by his chefs, he slams his hand right on it, smashing the salmon into pieces.
As someone who has cooked salmon many times, with recipes from many different types of cooking shows, it pained me to see such a beautiful fish go to waste, but that’s what happens when you upset the master chef himself. And while we’re highlighting this special moment, Gordon shattered many Salmon in the past out of anger.
When Gordon made out with a “candidate” (Season 7, Episode 1)
For those who don’t know, Gordon Ramsay is a married man and has been for over two decades. So when this happened, so it was Right first the surprise. In Season 7 of hell kitchen, In the first episode, Gordon takes a special interest in a woman with dark hair, complimenting her several times, hugging her, kissing her on the cheeks, and finally kissing her full on the mouth.
That’s not so surprising later on because moments later it turns out that it was actually his longtime wife Tana Ramsay in disguise, so all is well here in the land of love!
And when Gordon called Siobhan a donkey (Season 7, Episode 8)
Gordon had some interesting insults throughout his time hell kitchen, but for some reason this one always catches my eye the most. During Season 7 Episode 8 of hell kitchen, Gordon snaps at one contestant, Siobhan, for the less-than-stellar scallops she has produced, insulting her and calling her an “ass”.
It’s so funny to always hear someone call him that, but that moment was one of the first times we’ve seen him use that insult, and the way he says it is always so damn hilarious.
When Joseph Tinnelly confronted Gordon during his elimination (Season 6, Episode 2)
look i am always a fan of fightswhether in movies or on tv but i was really nervous for gordon during season 6 episode 2 of hell kitchen During the elimination, when Gordon Joseph confronted Tinnelly about his poor cooking skills and “crappy” attitude, Joseph decides to take it personally and storms straight at Ramsay, insulting him and trying to provoke him into a fight after he was eliminated from the show.
Gordon, the professional that he is, doesn’t start a fistfight with Joseph, who is taken away from security while Gordon curses him with a series of insults that would make a sailor blush as he walks away. It was such a tense moment.
When Gordon insulted a customer and said he looked like “a quail” (season 7)
The biggest rule to go hell kitchen don’t expect the food to hit the market anytime soon or expect the food to be perfect to begin with because things just happen. If something bad happens, just politely tell someone to bring the food back and it will come right back.
But one customer in Season 7 decided to confront Gordon personally, getting up from his table and going into the kitchen and saying that the meat he received was “low-quality dog food” at best. Apparently it was Gordon Right offended and told the customer to fuck off before saying he looked like “a quail”.
I didn’t realize calling someone a quail was an insult, but coming from Gordon, it most certainly is.
When Jeff insults Gordon and storms off (Season 1, Episode 3)
One of the most notorious moments in hell kitchen The story took place during the third episode of Season 1. Jeff, one of the contestants, was fed up with Gordon insulting him for his bad cooking and calling Ramsay an “asshole”. He then took off his jacket and stormed off the set.
And not only that; He left the entire competition. It was the last we ever seen by him. But you know what they say – if you can’t take the heat in the kitchen, you better get out.
When Gordon Ordered Every Black Man to Leave the Kitchen (Season 4, Episode 10)
For those who don’t look hell kitchen, The show begins with two teams, red and blue, and merges into one at the end when the black jacket team is selected, with finalists for the season competing for the grand prize. These are said to be the crème de la crème, the best of the best chefs.
That’s why this moment is so big.
In season 4, episode 10, when all the black jackets were chosen, everyone made one mistake after the other on their first dinner, and soon Gordon ordered anyone from the kitchen and that the service will be shut down. Considering these were supposed to be the best remaining contenders at the time, this was a huge mistake and showed that sometimes people don’t work well together. I will never forget Gordon’s angry face.
hell kitchen will hopefully come back soon – maybe even show up 2022 TV premiere schedule – since it was extended by a few seasons. Hopefully we’ll be able to add even crazier moments to talk about soon.
