The Culinary Arts program prepares individuals with little or no industry experience for entry-level and secondary positions in the hospitality industry with the potential for accelerated promotion. Featuring a diverse menu of options from artisanal breads and pastries to global cooking classes, the curriculum places an emphasis on maximizing contact times in the lab and delivering real-world experiences in an urban location within the framework of innovation, sustainability and accessibility.

The Culinary Arts program emphasizes the importance of hands-on learning with over 1,000 hours in the kitchen. Program graduates are provided with an expanded level of kitchen experience than graduates of other similar programs in the region.

Students develop the skills to assist with menu and product development, which in turn aids them in their career advancement beyond entry-level positions. Following the model of the country’s largest culinary schools, student experiences will include cafes, restaurants, banquets, events and commercial food production, many of which will be open to the public.
